Emirates will return to Nigeria with the resumption of flights to Lagos.

From October 1, the Dubai-based carrier will operate daily flights to Lagos. Using Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, the outbound flight (EK783) will depart Dubai in the mid-morning and arrive at Lagos in the mid-afternoon. The return flight (EK784) will depart Lagos in the late afternoon and arrive at Dubai the next morning.

In a statement, Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer said: “We are excited to resume our services to Nigeria. The Lagos-Dubai service has traditionally been popular with customers in Nigeria and we hope to reconnect leisure and business travellers to Dubai and onwards to our network of over 140 destinations.  We thank the Nigerian government for their partnership and support in re-establishing this route and we look forward to welcoming passengers back onboard.”

With the resumption of flights to Nigeria, Emirates will operate 157 weekly flights from Dubai to 19 cities in Africa. Through codeshare and interline partnerships such as South African Airways, Royal Air Maroc, and Tunis Air, customers have access to an additional 130 destinations in the African continent.

In addition, Nigerian businesses will have access to export goods via Dubai through Emirates SkyCargo to key markets such as the UAE, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Bahrain.
